The older brother of the Puukko Grandfather, this model carries the same Nordic spirit: simplicity, utility, and understated beauty.
Its stabilized curly birch handle adds warmth and uniqueness to each piece. The natural grain forms flowing, almost living patterns reminiscent of wind-carved snow or the growth rings of a centuries-old tree. Beyond aesthetics, stabilization enhances durability — making the handle moisture-resistant, dimensionally stable, and comfortable in hand: a material that is both technical and beautiful.
With its narrow tang, true to traditional puukko construction, this knife remains lightweight, precise, and highly maneuverable. It performs just as well in wilderness tasks as in wood carving and shaping tougher materials like cordage, leather, and bark.
The Scandi grind provides excellent bite in wood, outstanding control, and an edge geometry that is easy to maintain in the field — appreciated equally by beginners and seasoned users.
Made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel, the blade offers excellent sharpness, solid edge retention, and proven corrosion resistance. Easy to maintain, it’s suitable for both regular outdoor use and occasional handling.
The knife comes with a thick, dark brown handmade leather sheath.
