We felt there was a gap to fill in our lineup — mission accomplished!

Each handle is curved, hand-shaped, and mounted by friction (slip-fit) for a natural, solid, and removable fit — ideal if you’d like to keep several handles for the same head.

1. Head:
   • Forged in Italy by BR Rinaldi, a family-owned company producing high-quality semi-industrial hand-finished tools since 1780.
   • Steel: 55Si7, hardened to ≈ 58 HRC — tough, resilient spring steel.
   • Head weight: 500 g / 1.1 lb
   • Edge width: 15 cm / 6 in
   • Comes with a natural leather sheath
   Note: Actual head weight may vary slightly, as each piece is hand-finished on an anvil.
2. Handle:
   • Length: 10.5–11 in, hand-shaped ash, finished with linseed oil
   • Crafted in Québec
   • Slip-fit (friction mount) — allows you to interchange handles of different shapes and lengths for the same head

3. Edge geometry (your choice):
   • Symmetrical: standard dual-bevel grind for ambidextrous or general-purpose carving
   • Asymmetrical: short, obtuse bevel on the dominant-hand side and a long, fine bevel on the opposite — inspired by Wille Sundqvist’s Swedish Carving Techniques for better control and edge support.
