Finally, there is a special combined natural stone composed of two natural stones: A Pyrenees sand stone with a grain of 1200 is glued to a Belgian blue Coticule with a grain of 6000.
The Pyrenees stone is used for initial sharpening to remove any burrs while the coticule sharpens with finesse and polishes the blade. Water or saliva should be applied to the sides of the stone before using it.
This standard sized stone is excellent for all types of cutlery and beveled tools. Measuring 150 x 50 mm (5.9'' x 2''), it provides a good working surface and great stability.
To generate its abrasive power more quickly by obtaining the small mud filled with garnets that forms the coticle, you can opt for the small CotPyr slurry stone as an option. By making circular movements on the large stone, you will be ready to sharpen in no time!
The shape of this stone works wonderfully with the manufacturer's universal non-slip support.
It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the manufacturer & a small cardboard box to store it.
