Designed for splitting wood and tree felling, this wedge offers an excellent balance of weight and efficiency while remaining compact enough to carry easily into the woods or onto the jobsite.

Factory-sharpened with a refined geometry, it drives quickly and opens the grain with confidence.

The square striking surface has been chamfered — a small but important detail — to reduce the risk of:

• metal fragments breaking off,
• mushrooming or deformation over time,
• and to extend the lifespan of both the wedge… and the sledge or the Splitting Maul..

Versatile and efficient, it works equally well as a splitting wedge or a felling wedge.

Forged in Italy by BR Rinaldi, a family-run forge known for producing high-quality semi-industrial hand-finished axes and forestry tools — a tradition dating back to at least 1780.
