Compact and easy to carry hatchet, ideal for camping, bushcraft and limbing. This model takes the bearded shape of the Barbuta family but in a narrowed format, it is an excellent travel and expedition companion in the woods.
Only available with a straight handle.
Produced in Italy by BR Rinaldi, a family business that has been manufacturing hand-finished axes and semi-industrial tools of great quality and durability since 1780.

Handle :

- without handle
- with original unfinished ash handle to fix yourself in the eye of the ax - see the last photo. You can use an artisan or Shinto rasp to do it.
- with original ash handle hafted and finished with boiled linseed oil. Look at the video for a demonstration of the finish.
Blade finish:
- The Rough forge finish is as its name suggests: it will therefore be necessary to refine it with a file and sharpen it with a stone to be able to get the most out of its use.
- The basic sharpening gives it a well-honed and sharp bevel for better use and penetration into wood.
- The premium satin finish allows optimal geometry refinement coupled with sharpening and polishing which will maintain a formidable edge after numerous tough uses and will make regular maintenance of the blade on the whetstone easy, especially with the CotPyr. Look at the video for a demonstration of the finish.
May come with a leather sheath
NB. The actual weight of the head may vary from the marked weight, since it is a semi-industrial forged tool hand finished with a hammer on an anvil.
