It is a veined stone which has the particularity of having dark parts, with more abrasive power and lighter parts which are a little softer. It allows you to sharpen faster than with a smooth stone and will be preferred when the need for sharpening is greater.
This small stone which measures 120 x 25 mm (4.75'' x 1'') can be easily carried anywhere with you, at camp or in the woods.
Extracted from the gallery, it was originally used for the manufacture of fake stones. Today, many models have been created and adapted for knife sharpening.
It is important to understand that this is a natural stone and that there is no defined grain size, unlike stones made with abrasives which have their grain number.
